About Lenovo IEST 2007 

Lenovo International Electronic Sports Tournament 2007 (Lenovo IEST 2007) is sponsored by Lenovo Group, the world third biggest PC company, in 2006. The main propose of Lenovo IEST is to organize a high standard and high level international E-sports tournament, which is based in China. As a perfect and professional stage for E-sports fans and players, Lenovo IEST will be the bridge of E-sports tournament between China and the world, and promote the development of E-sports game and digital culture all around the world. As the first top international E-sports tournament organized by China, Lenovo IEST 2006 has got support from media and the public, which was one of the most successful E-sports tournament in 2006.

Beijing Olympic 2008 is on its way, the heat of Olympic is the hottest topic in media and the public. Lenovo Group, as the international partner of the International Olympic Committee, has shouldered the mission of providing technology support and total solution, and transmits the spirit of Olympic. In 2007, Lenovo has two Olympic strategies, “Culture Olympic” and “Technology Olympic”, and has launched a massive promotion around China. On 2007/06/23, Beijing Olympic Committee announced the selection criteria of Beijing Olympic torch. At the same day, as the international partner of Beijing Olympic 2008 torch relay, Lenovo Group has announced Lenovo Olympic torch selection criteria. At the same time, Levono Group officially launched Beijing Olympic 2008 torch selection activities, and selected Olympic torch around China, which once again set for the Olympic fever. Taking this Olympic opportunity, on 2007/06/27, as one of the important activities of Lenovo “Culture Olympic”, one of the important activities of Lenovo torch selection, after careful planning and preparation, Lenovo IEST 2007 launched officially.

Lenovo IEST 2007, besides having high standard and high level E-sports tournament system, will integrate Olympic spirit and E-sports tournament together.
